Aadhi-Pasupathi in Vasanthabalan’s next

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,March 16 2010]

Filmmakers, these days, are clear about their future projects. They start planning their next venture well in advance. And the latest addition to the ‘perfect-planners’ list is Vasanthabalan, who is eagerly expecting the release of his long-pending ‘Angadi Theru’.

“My next film will be produced by T Siva of Amma Creations, the man behind many successful movies including 'Saroja'. Aadhi and Pasupathy are playing the lead roles. I am yet to decide on the title,” the director says.

“Quite like ‘Veyil’ and ‘Angadi Theru’, the new film too would focus on reality,” the former associate of Shankar says and adds: “However, the backdrop and treatment will be totally different this time.”

On ‘Angadi Theru’, he says, “the story is about a salesboy and a salesgirl of a popular retail store in Ranganathan Street. I stayed for about six months at a mansion in T Nagar to learn the lifestyle of people there. Mahesh and Anjali, who have played the protagonists, have given their best.”
